Depending on your field, you may also be able to look for extra certifications or networking within associations, guilds, etc.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Also look into your local library&#8217;s resource page on their website. For example, a library may offer free access to subscription-based education sites like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.udemy.com\/\"><strong>Udemy<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coursera.org\/\"><strong>Coursera<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Free courses in a variety of fields which you can upgrade to pay for a certificate if needed. Similar to taking a short college\/university course. &#8220;The website will say, &#8216;courses start on ___ date&#8217; or &#8216;quiz deadline ____ date&#8217; but the dates on free courses can be reset without consequence<em> from what I remember<\/em>; the education is fully flexible &#8211; it just provides some scheduled structure to help you move through the course in a timely manner. This is probably one of the largest course sites; they advertise having 10,000 different courses&#8221; <em>(SightedNon-24.org Admin).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/alison.com\/\">Alison<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211; Free courses with a very similar model to<em> Coursera<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.edx.org\/\"><strong>edX<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; The above sites focus more on college-level content, while this site focuses on building skills and changing careers.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pll.harvard.edu\/catalog\/free\"><strong>Harvard Free Courses<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Harvard University offers 116 free courses. This is similar to auditing a class.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ocw.mit.edu\/\"><strong>MIT OpenCourseWare<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Similar to the Harvard one above, this allows you to audit over 2,500 classes for free from MIT.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/online.stanford.edu\/free-courses\"><strong>Stanford Free Online Courses<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Similar to the two above, audit 72 different classes for free online from Stanford.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.edu\/openlearn\/free-courses\/full-catalogue\">OpenLearn<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; They have around 1,000 free classes from The Open University.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.classcentral.com\/collection\/top-free-online-courses\">Class Central<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Another online course site. You may find some overlap as some universities post classes to different free education sites like Coursera.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.khanacademy.org\/\">Kahn Academy<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211; Free courses, lessons, and practice.
